MuseScore is an awesome program (https://musescore.org). But avoid the sinking sands of the service set up on musescore.com domain, made by the company that acquired both MuseScore and Audacity in recent years.
This stuff is a racket. I'd advise to install MuseScore from your Linux distribution's repository and never visit any websites associated with it.
MuseGroup's monetization schemes are vile.

Getting out of youtube is proving to me trickier than expected.
Nebula works quite well, sadly no way for users to post comments yet.
Just tried seeing how the nice folks at corridor digital would fare, and I am now seriously disappointed they make use of DRM on their website, making all videos unplayable :(
I wrote to them about the issue, but don't expect anything to change really.
This is not a media conglomerate, but regular artists/creators. I expected them to do better...
news on this one: workshop proposal rejected, so won't be talking about this on the summit after all.
perhaps would still fit for https://sonoj.org/ though
This week, I went over to Bluesky and asked people who'd left Mastodon why they left, and lots of people told me. I grabbed the replies and crunched them and wrote up a summary. I think it's really interesting and often kind of wrenching.

Remote control of Cardinal using OSC coming in the next release!
Preparing a nice little feature for Cardinal - OSC remote control.
Can send a full patch or simple parameter changes.
See initial documentation/instructions at https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/blob/main/docs/OSC-REMOTE-CONTROL.md
Thanks to @dreamer for recording a demo video, showing off it working through TouchOSC on an iPad. Neat 📷
Since it seems #Google has decided to uni-laterally force through their new anti-#adblock #DRM euphemistically named "Web environment integrity", I decided to add a little bit of code to my website that blanks out the page and displays a protest message with a link to the firefox download page when you visit it from a browser with this DRM feature. Here's the source inside one toot, feel free to copy and put it at the end of your website's <body> before the closing tag:
Rent situation in Berlin is beyond ridiculous, to the point where I am curiously looking at other european cities to compare... 👀
But then it only makes the problem worse, I rather not be one of those "expats" that ruin a city by means of gentrification.
Don't see many alternatives, already tried (re)living with parents and it is really not the best for many reasons...
This whole situation sucks
It is release day!

Last Monday at @xHain_hackspace :
Streaming setup running master_me on @OBSProject as vst-plugin <3
Just updated the OBS + Carla (plugin hosting) Ubuntu PPA.
See https://launchpad.net/~falktx/+archive/ubuntu/carla+obs for details
This PPA is basically a repackage of the official OBS one from https://launchpad.net/~obsproject/+archive/ubuntu/obs-studio
See https://github.com/KXStudio/Repository/tree/master/sources/apps/obs-studio for the script and patch file used to generate the custom OBS packages.
@trummerschlunk please ping/forward our CC friends about the update :)
