With 92% of the videos released, we'd like to point out that since end of Day 3, we are using the awesome master_me plugin (https://github.com/trummerschlunk/master_me) to level and condition the audio for an even better listening experience. Thanks to @trummerschlunk and team for providing this awesome software, and thanks for @Simpel for the rigorous testing!
Next up: using master_me in our streaming pipeline! /dm
With today's release of #Debian 12 (bookworm), it becomes even easier to install the #REUSE tool that helps with declaring licensing and copyright in your projects, following the most advanced best practice:
sudo apt install reuse
https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/reuse
Congratulations to the @debian community for their successful release!
@marcan@treehouse.systems @riedler@catcatnya.com oh it is not https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9216164/opacity-avisited
but if color is allowed... `rgba(0,0,0,0)` maybe an option?
@morgthorak I think you might want to make sure you don’t follow me.
Because your “woke communist propaganda” comment makes me think you’re a moron of the first order.
I strongly suspect I am one of those “woke communists” you worry about. But you probably couldn’t actually explain what either of those words actually mean, could you?
I’m a card-carrying atheist, I think a woman’s right to choose is very important, I think that “well regulated militia” means that guns should be carefully licensed and not just randomly given to any moron with a pulse, and I couldn’t care less if you decided to dress up in the “wrong” clothes or decided you’d rather live your life without feeling tied to whatever plumbing you were born with.
And dammit, if that all makes me “woke”, then I think anybody who uses that word as a pejorative is a f*cking disgrace to the human race. So please just unfollow me right now.
Alright, who wants to try/test OBS with audio plugin support?
(Linux users only for now 🐧)
The related discussion and code changes are part of this pull request https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/pull/8919
I have automated build artifacts in https://github.com/falkTX/obs-studio/actions/workflows/main.yml
And also set up an Ubuntu PPA for easy install https://launchpad.net/~falktx/+archive/ubuntu/carla+obs/
Make sure to install both Carla and OBS.
If all is well you will see 2 new input sources and filters - "Audio Plugin" and "Carla Patchbay"
Let me know how it works for you!

@sjaehn understandable, different goals then.
my point with DPF is to have an alternative to other frameworks and also works for me, for releasing not just opensource things but allow commercial plugins with it (there could be some funding for DPF from there someday).
Nothing against GPL, you know I use it often in other projects, but it is really not the goal here.
@sjaehn Is that drawn using cairo? if so we should integrate it in https://github.com/DISTRHO/DPF-Widgets/ sometime 💃
